sun kissed petals white
gentle breeze blow tonight
please carry safely in your arms
and keep my love safe from harm
lift him high upon your winds
remind him of the love I send
never let him see me falter
wash me clean upon love's altar
spill my sins across the sea
unfetter this soul's agony
let me fly safely home
let me for my sins atone
I cannot face another day
scars of pain across my face
set me free oh winds I plead
do not watch me slowly bleed
I want not for a mortal thing
only wish my love to bring
something I can never grasp
or dare to hold in my hand's clasp
elusive as a wisp of mist
I try to clutch within my fist
to nestle you close in gentle arm
and keep me safe from any harm
for with you I am only safe
I've found my heart's resting place
let me sleep a moment more
rest in dreams of the one I adore
carry them with me through the day
drizzle you through the words I say
my faraway smile I cannot hide
as your love bubbles from inside
no matter near, no matter far
I am there where e'er you are

I love the repeated feeling of safety in love in this poem.

It flows so well and the warmth is apparent.

Let love shine on, the answer is LOVE

Lovely sentiment, Angel.  I felt the love and the longing in this.  Simply beautiful.  Good to see you venturing in the rhyming arena, too.

Hmm...no, not breathtaking...this is just a whole new level of poetry, Angel! I can't really come up with a reply for this because I'm really not sure what to say about it...but it's a whole new level, that's for sure! Incredibly beautiful work!

So, all this time you've been able to rhyme, eh?? Nice job, my friend.

Then, of course, there's the message here... Isn't love like that special??...
