Like a Sheperdess Your voice caressing the cool night breeze You call me to your side I the lamb Lost in cofusion from daily things Rush to be there.. rush to hide Your sweet breath traces the lines of my face Your still eyes like wells of desire Invite me into your pools of longing Your magnetic skin soft and warm Pulls at me holds me in its fire Drifting ..Your softness enfolds me The delta is broken I float into nothing This moment is lost in eternity Where nothing is and nothing is not I lay gazing at the heavens Counting the stars on your face As you lay asleep I rise ..look back at the spent sheets And return to the flock All day I'll wait Wait for evening And the call of the Sheperdess once more Jon Mewett |

A hazy, crazy dream, wrapped in gossamer layers of fulfilment. Bravo. |

The lamb and the shepardess. The symbolism is great in this. "I lay gazing at the heavens Counting the stars on your face As you lay asleep" How sweetly romantic!! |

Wow, Jon! I'm impressed! (Well, not like I wasn't with your first few poems... ) Beautiful dream-like sequence, great imagery and like child said, great metaphor! I'm glad you started posting here at the Pub, and hope to see some more! Little Spyro T. Dragon |
