She breathes her life in black and white, Forgets the beauty grey. Trusts only truth told in her sight, No hope for future's day. She walks on paths which lead her feet, No heart to face the truth. Denying goals once sworn to keep In days of by-gone youth. Scorned in malice not once but twice. She's given up all hope. No longer sure what worth the price; She strives simply to cope. Yet in each day dawns brand new light to wear away the pain. Perhaps then soon a shining knight, To show her love again. |

Chris, this was an awesome poem - then you had to go and get all romantic on me..... Wait till I get up there this weekend - I'm gonna smack some sence into ya. Don't you remember the Matrix - how the one love scene screwed up the whole movie.... Jeeze. Michael [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 03-08-2000).] |

No, no knight am I and the beauty's a dream. Though I am sure there are some who might fit this description... Yes Mike, but in the end, he flew... |

Christopher this is great! No matter how many times we get hurt we continue to hold out hope for that one true knight. |

Wonderful poem. A friend of mine is in the same place right now. She says her shining knight always shows up a little tarnished. ~Gene |

wonderful poem. i had fit that description to a "T" up until 6 months ago. the knight snuck in when i wasn't looking with the hope i had lost in his hands and heart. i love too much, and not enough. |

I liked it too, until it got all mushy. ACK "She breathes her life in black and white..." fabulous line, it kept me reading. |

No longer sure what worth the price, She strives simply to cope. All too familiar for far too many I fear.... I really like this one, |

It gives me pleasure to know that this is not about the 'woman' in your life. You are a talented poet. (BTW - that is a fantastic photo of you.) < !signature--> I'm wild about Oscar! [This message has been edited by Oscar Wilde (edited 03-10-2000).] |

*LOL* Let me clarify: I wasn't referring to Chris as a damsel, I was referring to the topic of this thread. |

Christopher, You certainly are talented. This is a beautiful poem. I think we all have dreams of a knight in shining armour and a fear that we'll scorned and hurt to the depths. I really like this. Great job, I was in this situation recently and my knight showed up, a little rusted but perfect. If you love something let it go... if it comes back it's yours... if it doesn't it never was. |

Well Chris what can I say that hasn't been said? Wondeful poem. It's a topic that's written about often yet you had a fresh approach. Every line was a pleasure to read, beacause you write quite nicely. Great words...."She walks on paths which lead her feet" I love the way you said that! Great job! "Be yourself... No matter what they say" - Sting |
