I got hooked By a very small line I asked my parents From whence Did we come? They said don't you know? Your grandparents Came here in a covered wagon A long time ago Just who were their kin? Where did they live? And where did they die? What do we know about them? Give me some dates I really want to try To find more about them The reasons why Daddy met Mama How fate Many generations before Played a part In the creation of me Now if it's many years later And your're reading these lines Looking for me I may be hanging upside down By the seat of my jeans In a ancestral tree |
