As night's soft-fingered stroke sedates the anxious throb of slow decay, I toss my cloak of pale regrets and sink in dark momentum's sway. Then dawn peeks in, all misty-eyed, to shyly lift the languid shade. She steps across my threshold view and lays the welcome mat she made. A wafting scent of wonder seeps from drops of purity that slide on petals yet unmarred. I rise to navigate the waiting tide. My tiny sail will catch the wind and cross each rolling circumstance. My moments lap on pristine shores beneath the day's expectant glance. |

I really like the images and soft feel of this. Very well written, one of my favorites so far. One's not half two it's two are halves of one EE Cummings |

oooo, lary; this is so exquisitely lovely..poetry at it's sublime! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

sublime. yes. that's the word I'm looking for. what a magnificant piece. I am in awe of your talent with words. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
