Wheels dull drone on the endless road night sounds invade wandering thoughts the white snake turns and twists ahead endless, dull, pallid, infinity shinning eyes lead the dash through space seeking, searching for the ending or the beginning of a new trail a different path for weary souls weary of the road to nowhere weary of heartless illusion the cruel mirage of quiescence the memories of painful loss would that the night reveal it’s store unveil that which the soul reveres that precious peace to briefly view before the end of the dark road this desire, nay, this fervent prayer resounds in the silent night hiss of spinning wheels on endless track a journey one must trek alone wheels dull drone on the endless road night sounds invade wandering thoughts the white snake turns and twists ahead dark night revealing not a hint silent, it beckens; follow me. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

poetically lovely, but sad, yet a dash of hope invades...may the road lead to inner peace. Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

This road is quite hypnotic & haunting my friend, as it endlessly rolls on, into the horizon of life. Silently it draws us to unrevealed destinations, even the final one is unknown to us all. WO |

Great poem, my friend. I love the road. It's where I do all my thinking. Your concept of journey is inspiring. "I hate quotes, they suck!" |

I swear i'm on a path near u, I loved this one. Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Pegasus...still searching...how far - where to - this does not sound totally hopeless, but it is somber...I hope you find some peace along the way...thinking of that old saying that life is the journey, not the destination. Very well written! Lary |

You'll never know what that road has in store, unless you seize the moment. Melton Good stuff. |

There's almost a hypnotic quality to this poem. I can remember many nights on long drives and staring at the road ahead and thinking there was no end to the trip. Betty Lou Hebert |

Congrats on another good piece! "White snake"?...I'd like to know what that represents...I started thinking it was a train, but now I'm not so sure. The read itself though did strike me somewhere deeply, just why I don't know. Excellent work m'friend. |
