Want to see my marble collection?
I would announce
Right when it was time
For company to go

Then from the shelf
I would take down
The elephant
And the donkey
The keepers of my treasures

Like piggy banks
Their value
Increased
When the contents
Could be poured
Out in your hand

Nice marbles kid
You've got quite a collection
But its really time
For me to go

Want to help me count them?
Last count I had a hundred and two

I would if I could
But I really got to go
Maybe next time

Ok Mister
I said, as
A cat eye
Caught
A sunbeam
And
Bounced
The light
Back to
My head

This brought me back to "the days"....yep......"the days". Those were...erm.....the days....yep.

Songbird: I really like this. At one time in my childhood, my bag of marbles was a prized possession. Thanks for the memory.
