I wrote this poem for a very close friend of mine whom I love dearly. I was thinking of giving it to him. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

My Angel, My Friend

You came into my life one day,
It appeared as pure circumstance,
Some may call it a coincidence,
Or a simple case of crossing paths.
I don't see it in that way,
I know we were brought together for a reason
that neither of us could control.

You've made an impact on my life
since that moment we first met,
I thank God for you,
for I am truly blessed.
You've given me a gift
that is unique and has no price,
That gift is your friendship
and having you in my life.

I think of you and I smile,
My heart is filled with happiness,
Just knowing I have someone like you in my life
means more to me than any words could verbalize,
You're more than just a friend,
You're my guardian angel.

You've never judged me,
You accept me for who I am and for what I cannot change.
You've never turned away from me,
You always welcome me with open arms.
You've never intentionally hurt me,
You always protect me from pain.
You've never put me down,
You always believe the best in me.
You've never silenced me,
You listen attentively.
You've never rejected me,
You love me unconditionally.

I love you with all my heart
and everything within my soul.
You've always been there and
I'd do anything to show you how much I care,
Life is full of uncertainties,
but one thing I know is true,
your my friend and I'd die for you.
I promise to remain by your side
today, tomorrow and until the end,
Thank you for being my angel and my true friend.

Wow, this is so beautiful, I am sure your Angel/Friend will love this. They will see the talent you possess for sure. I also believe people come into our lives for a reason and when we can recognize the beauty of it, all the more better for all involved.

A wonderful tribute, your friend must be someone really special. You have done an excelent job here, I hope you give this to your friend, it is an excelent piece of the heart. Thank you for sharing.
