If Tomorrow Never Comes... |

Tonight I took a long look at myself in the mirror and saw only you consumed by your thoughts creating within me a passion so deep that traces of you pierce my soul. I drove through streets not concentrating on all that was happening around me because I was too focused on what you made happen inside me inspired warmth that seemed to spread beneath your touch. If tomorrow never comes you would still be locked within my heart with memories of you touching me there with your lips in shadows beneath the moonlight it feels so right when I sway against your warmth and feel desires rising as you take my breath away. The time was much too brief producing torturous temptation that built the gnawing void that started even as we say good-bye but then I would not trade the us for ignorance of knowing you for in those times of being us the love is everlast. I am there for your pleasure and touch... wanting, needing, loving so much, I long to hear your heartbeat next to mine to share with you the beauty of the sun by day and capture the stars by night, to live on and on, with a lifetime of us. But lifetimes are not promised and moments are uncertain still those stolen hours make us whole and in those times I see no stars and sense no sun upon my skin for there is but the warmth of you and that sustains me 'til again I'm in your arms. I will walk through my days whispering your name breathing your scent recalling those special moments that unleashed from me the loving I held inside, far too long I will dream my nights feeling you touch, pressing against me gently caressing my silken skin with each loving kiss silently placed, freeing desires. But when next that we do meet and share a kiss or touch and feel than we shall love as if two starving desperate souls were thrown a feast unleashed desires there within us both do press us to return once more. And this next time, shall it only be for the night, again I will cherish the depth of the loving shared, retain the visions my eyes beheld when watching you smile, held in arms of "after love" and in each breeze that comes my way, carried on it will be your whispers, those that fan the flames of desire that bridge the gap of "loving real" while we are apart, until the time comes that there will be no need... to whisper anymore. This is truly beautiful. Hopefully your time will come very soon. I have to say the title caught my eye. I have always loved that song by Garth Brooks. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

An incredibly beautiful poem of love! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Nice, thanks for sharing Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Beautiful. I liked this a lot. Your time is here. Take one last look at it, then never come back. This part of your life is already over... |

Wynter~ This is just the loveliest of thoughts. I sense the care given and received ... beautiful, lady. 'But when next that we do meet and share a kiss or touch and feel than we shall love as if two starving desperate souls were thrown a feast unleashed desires there within us both do press us to return once more.' *sigh* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
