They are nowhere to be found!
there is an absence of fairies.
That waiting time of the year,
when the earth holds its breath
in anticipation of spring!

It is still frigidly cold.
Snow is in the forecast.
Yet
There is a stirring of the heart,
that only the very young of spirit
can ever truly seem to know!
Dreams of spring unseen,
wonder of knowing it is near.

But where are the fairies?
They are very, very busy.
For they have burrowed
neath the cold, damp earth,
spreading their Fairy Dust
on bulbs of tulips and daffodils.

Yet on these very last days
of waning Winters Swan Song,
of frosty nights and icy days,
our fairies of mystic Joy,
are there in deep of night.
For while you soundly slumber,
they cast their Magic Dust
on sleeping Winter hearts.
To thus awaken lovely dreams
of the hope of coming Spring!

Only of course...
If you believe !!!!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

lol...I'm at the point now where I would believe anything you say. what a huggy, warm piece you sprinkle on us this day..

Wonderful Ellie......I think everyone has believed at some point in their lives. I still belive in these 'fairy tales'. Must be the hidden child in me...

ellie this is so sweet! I think a few fairies have made their rounds above the ground here in Florida.
Spring is in the air, along with pollen. *sneezeeeeee*

Ummmm Ellie.... will you see what you can do about spring being there around the middle of March...but even if there's a blizzard it will be like a breath of springtime when we finally get to meet!!!! Love this beautiful gem, with all of the lovely images it brings to mind. Bonnie
