Valediction

Go in safety.  Go in peace.
Go in joy, my friend.
Go with God.  Go with my love.
Know it will never end.

May you prosper while you're gone.
Learn, grow, and be strong.
May you find the things you seek.
May it not take you long.

Come back happy.  Come back whole.
Come knowing your task.
Come back to stay in my heart
And that is all I'll ask.

Dear Marilyn; This is tender and lovely, just like your heart. What comes to my mind is the saying "If you love someone, you will set them free, if it is meant to be, they will return to you"! Love, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Pegasus - Thanks.  You are so sweet!  He did want to go, and he should have, but it will seem like a long time!  *sigh*  Nice to know I have friends here to keep the lonelies away.

Ellie - Thank you, dear lady.  Yes, that saying applies well here, and I do feel he will return, but it's still kind of scary letting go, isn't it?  I just wanted him to go with a good feeling.  Love to you.

Ah Marilyn - even though this is filled with faith, it still brought a tear to my eye...I know they have their own lives, but still I miss them so...
This is tender and sweet and excellent!

Denise - Thank you.  Your replies are also lovely and sweet.

Matt - That reply proves you really are Mr. Nice.  I have seen some things here that make me think someone will want you to hurry back.

Lary - Thanks.  I was aiming for tender, glad to know you saw it that way.  Not a child, which is what I think you saw here, but someone very special to me, gone on an extended business trip.
