A cold winter day
I have risen
From my bed
To begin a new day

Morning task
All finished

My comforting bed beckons
Come let me wrap
You in my covers
Tight like a cocoon
Let me cradle your head
In my soft pillows

Let me take you away
Where escape is deep sleep
Hibernate beneath the covers
Of quilted dreams

Rest their till winter's chill
Is replaced
With Spring's
Inviting charms

Maiden sleep
Peacefully content
Till then,
Till then

I think I may be a little bit bear.  I'd love to hibernate like this!

OOOOOOOOOO, Songbird, this sounds so delicious! Perfect idea for those of us who are pining for spring! Love, Ellie

Thanks for all your comments. I'm part bear too grandma, winter I think was made for sleeping. Sping and summer are my favorite seasons, it's so easy to keep moving then.

ooooh, I'm thinking about the hibernation deal myself

SongBird~
Me too !
It is indeed the quilting season -
and the cave of the bear calls me to slumber.

Wonderful - let's start a Hibernation Hive !
Do NOT awaken until Spring !
