found this in the 'attic'..thought of kaile, who tells us of his 'school days'  ink spot... its that same old ink spot it follows me! from paper to paper from school to school from state to state! that stupid spot... its black and ugly! sometimes red like the blood i shed... shaped in such terrible shapes ink spot, ink spot go away! i must get a better spot today... but its always that same ugly ink spot... -dgvarner 11-89 "sometimes a closed door provides us with walls to lean on....." -kathleen vibbert |

thanx, dg...was pleasantly surprised when i came here and saw a post dedicated to me... this is such an inspiration...how nice it must be to be writing for a decade and to be able to look back on your past writings and understand the past you...and its comforting to know that since you have done so, perhaps a decade later i will too be posting poems from my attic.... personally, this brought back so many memories of when i was nine(in 1989)...i have no idea why but perhaps seeing 11/89 triggered off a memory trip... HUGS! |

yes..most of us have our "spots" that follow us around wherever we go..this little ditty has a far deeper meaning for me. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
