Slowly closing my eyes
as I fall into gentle slumber
Out of darkness, I see a beautiful woman standing before me
as she draw near, I realize that this beautiful angel is you
a smile seems to curl my lips, never waking
As I admire your radiant beauty in my mind
and the beauty of your loving and caring heart
Feeling the warmth of happiness deep inside
as I hear your soft voice echo
your eyes, shining like emerald stars
I reach out to touch you, then slowly I open my eyes
a tear rolls down my cheek as I realize that it was only a dream
lying there, wishing I could have you with me
that I could hold you in my arms
to feel your soft lips pressed to mine
I gently sigh, knowing that this wish, this dream
will never become a reality... but I know in my heart
that my dreams will be filled with images of you
I know that I shall never look upon you with my own eyes
but I will always have those dreams
and I shall cherish them always

Wow...sometimes love is only a fantasy and not much else. This is well expressed here.

I have had dreaams like this for years, but trust me love turns up, some times in the most unusual places. Continue to dream and one day they shall be real. well written enjoyed this alot.

This was very moving for me...my fiance did the same thing when he came to see me for the first time. I thought it was impossible for a guy, but there it was: he was looking in my eyes and one solitary tear streamed down. That' when I knew, he was mine and I was his. Thank you for the rememberance. Great work!
