For all of those who toil under the maniacal hand of an egotistical individual...lacking in basic common sense and grace of character..my heart and words go out to you all... Sol

A little Oil and some Grease,
Will make the Gearwerks sing,
But when it comes to 'Werking' People
Its quite a different thing.

People are a moody lot,
That move through Time and Space
We can call their designated numbers
And forget they have a Face.

Six oh eight two three five
Zero two six and two
To some it is my Name,
Its a shame, but it is true.

Now if ever you must run People
Remeber, they're not Gears.
But Justice and Humanity,
Builds Trust and quells all Fears.

" Who are you to give us commands?"
" Why should we obey?"
Just Me and its not an Order,
But its better 'Werked' that way.

Ah Sol!  You have captured the true disgruntled employee essence in this great work!  If only those egotistical jerks could take a minute and realize it could be them out there, being called by number...just to see how it feels.  Or perhaps they did, and they're just doing it for revenge.  Whatever the reason, I do think we need to have a little more humanity and less time spent toiling over a stupid report the boss will just throw away saying 'Oh, didn't you know...we changed the format!'  *sigh*  I'll pray for that day!  Thanks for the enjoyable read!

This is very timely for me, Sol, as I was feeling somewhat disgruntled as an employee today.     And I so totally identify with Wikket's comment.  So many things in the workplace are not reasoned out, nor are they communicated to people who need to know.  Nevertheless, you have made me smile.     Thanks!

Sol, I knew this would make me smile. Just had a feeling from the title! If you're not an employer, you should be! It would be a wonderful world if all the employers of the world thought this way! Delightful poem!

Sol...

You captured this so well, in your own unique way. It flows wonderfully and, of course it made me smile.

WOW.......you're so talented. I hope that one day I'm as good as you.
Keep it up!
