Tis the Season

Tis the season
to shop and spend
seems we forget
the reason for the season.
Money changing hands
minimum wage ringing beggars bells
where does it all end
forgetting the reason
for the season.

Babe in a manger
straw pillow for His head
borne of a virgin bride
the very stars testify.
Ancient story held dear
wise men from afar
our Lord, born a man
in a manger
in Bethlehem.

Tis the season
to celebrate His birth
a time for love, maybe peace
chance to make amends
Tis not the season of cash
money changing hands
rather time to love, forgive
remember the reason
for the season.

Isn’t it time
to put Christ back in Christmas?
to care for our fellow man?
to remember, to honor, to praise
celebrate His sacrifice?
Shall we take a stand
celebrate Him who opened blind eyes
our Savior, who has set us all free?
Tis the season

Bleeding...

To many people forget what this season is about. A wonderful reminder.

Very well said! Hard not to agree with the sentiment in this.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Daniel~
Indeed !  Indeed !
May His birthday be a reminder to each of us -
of the gift we were given.
Glory be His name.
Merry Christmas, my friend.
