I am a mouse
in a cage
trapped between two worlds.
One promising an ending
and inner peace.
The other promising
satisfaction to all my
     curiosities.
I am trapped by
my indecision.
I fear both worlds.
Shut out by others
I know not which way
to turn.
Spin on my wheel
day after day,
afraid to get off
that I may never get back on.
So I spin and spin
not understanding why.
I am trapped between two worlds...
both tugging at my soul...
my mouse soul.

Nicolette...sometimes, the mouse roars...it can happen...

Welcome to Passions!

Welcome, little mouse.  That's quite a dilemma, to choose between what is known and safe, no matter how confining, and what is unknown and maybe dangerous, but perhaps more satisfying.  Not an easy choice to make.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Nicolette~
Welcome to the posting side of Passions.
We are so glad you're here.
You'll fit right in -
cuz we love meeces to pieces ! !

But should you venture over to Open
Beware the Balladeer
He's the exterminator ...
and is to be feared !

Some say he's a RAT
but, I wouldn't go
as far as that !
But suffice it to say ...
RUN if you see him
coming this way ! !

Nice write, poet.

Sunshine, Thanks for the welcome.  It will happen...I'm just incredibly impatient.

Pegasus111 and kcsgrandma, thanks for the welcome.  I appreciate  it.

Poet deVine, thanks again.

Marge, I will check out the open and watch out Balladeer.  Advice well heeded.  Thanks.

hi there,

welcome to passions!
i see that you have been a member for quite some time and am glad that you decided to toss in a poem...dont be shy, okay, the people at the Pub are real nice(me included) and im sure you will have AWESOME times here sharing your work...

i like this piece...firstly, i have often felt like that and secondly, i like the analogy of your dilemma to that of a mouse always spinning on a wheel.....

Hello, I am new also, but haven't been brave enough to post a poem.  I love your "mouse" and think I live close to it in that wall!  Anyway, love the words.
