The day is close,
the day is near,
Christmas time
is almost here!
Time to clean
time to bake,
cookies,
turkey,
Christmas cake!
Hang the tinsel on the tree,
wrap a package
one,
two,
three,
presents wrapped in gold and blue,
one for me and two for you!
Someone’s lucky, I know who!
Little Sam has twenty-two!
What’s inside that silver box?
Could be blocks
or rocks
or clocks,
I just hope it isn’t socks!
Candy canes and Choo-choo trains,
dolly’s,
puzzles,
toy airplanes,
ginger bread and mistletoe
(not for kissing, just for show)
caroling out in the snow,
Christmas lights!
Oh how they glow!
(I put them up myself you know)
The day is close!
The day is near!
Christmas time is
almost here!

ooooh very cheerful

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

I haven't seen the challenge, but this definitely does have a Dr. Seuss rhythm to it.     Very nicely done!

Debbie~
Oh .... so adorable !
Very nicely done.

I think I like this
Yes, I do ...
Dr. Seuss would like it too.
He'd like it in a heartbeat
He'd like it in a cake
He'd surely like the fact that you shared it
just for goodness sake !

He'd have to know the joy
He'd have to know the pleasure
He'd would be so very glad that you
have shared this little treasure.

And so I now thank you
YES, indeed, I do
On behalf of the residents
of the pub
AND DR. SEUSS too !

You're replys

You can write them in a car
You can write them near or far!
