We got back to my house
just me and Destiny
she was staying one more night
Des liked it here with me

We sat out on the back porch
counting more fireflies
her face serene and saintly
with starlight in her eyes

" I see you don't know Omar'
said destiny to me
'I thought I recognised him
my mind with dja vu was seized'

" Oh , you've seen him all your life"
des smiled and looked at me
" No one lives without him,
his talents all life needs."

' What does he do??' I asked
'How does bowling prolong life??'
Destiny laughed quietly
her heart now free from strife

" Omar is the Sandman.
the Weaver of all Dreams"
I smiled and I nodded then
'More than a bowler it would seem'

" yes...he's known me always
I invited him tonight
he, like me, oft needs a friend,
when life is not quite right."

' You both here have a haven'
said I with sincere heart
she fluttered up and kissed my cheek
I was blushing in the dark

Just then I saw old Omar
out the corner of my eyesight
suddenly quite sleepy
to des i said G'night.

She tucked me in I think
its hard for me to say
but ever since, I have been friends
with Omar and Destine Fae.

SolSon,
Your cast of characters is amazing, and you develop them so well, right before our eyes! Pure Magic!

These are so much fun....on to the ending....

Sol....

Everytime I enter the Pub, I scan the new poems looking for your newest adventure...
And it always brings a smile to my face when I see one there.

Another wonderful tale. I always love reading your work. Brightens my day up completely!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
