Waves of self-loathing engulfed me
I sat, stoned
as if soul-devoid
You came, eyes raised
as in concerned

Feelings translated in a forest of silence

I couldnt speak but you understood

Thanks

And thank God for those times we can be understood, even in silence......sometimes when we need it most.

Reminds me of how often I've been there.......

I like this, like it a lot, in fact.  Very nice.

'but you understood'
The warmest waves of silence can be found
in an understanding heart.

I understand.

Kaile, A smile from an caring friend can calm a sea of doubt and distress, Please accept my smile and knowing silence, expressing my concern. Thoughtful poem!

best thing to do when you don't know what to say or do..nothing..just be there. great read.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
