I'm sorry guys, another repost (a pantoum), but I wanted to share this one with my friends at the Pub. I wonder if it gives you the same feeling as it gives me and still does. It was such a sweet caress On that weary dreary day Longing for my bonnie lass Solemn grief ate me away On that weary dreary day Death came passing by my door Solemn grief ate me away Heartache mine forevermore Death came passing by my door Looking at my soppy eyes Heartache mine forever more Bonnie lass she just had died Looking at my soppy eyes Feeling sorry in a way Bonnie lass she just had died Said "this is your lucky day" Feeling sorry in a way Her kiss cold yet sweet to me Said "this is your lucky day" Your sweet bonnie lass you’ll see Her kiss cold yet sweet to me Longing for my bonnie lass Your sweet bonnie lass you’ll see It was such a sweet caress Munda |

Munda, I enjoyed the read It seemed real classy Tho maybe not my speed- Nor like some of yours so sassy. But it was entertaining Tho' a bit sad-by death's strong hand, Yet with the sense of love remaining Overcoming life's ultimate demand! Munda you did real good! David |

childomine - David - Janet, thank you so much for your replies. Maybe I should explain first how this feels to me To me this poem feels sad for the loss of a true love and yet very happy to be given the oppertunity to follow even in death. In this poem Death feels as a sweet caress to me. Sounds weird ? LOL Maybe that's because I am a little weird Thank you for your kind words. |

Munda...I know this name could not have stemmed from Mundane, for the art of your writing is anything but. Thank you for reposting this pantoum...I know how hard they are to write sometimes. And it tickled me to no end to walk in the Pub and see a goodly chunk of what I've posted here brought to the top. Well, here's a self-indulgent challenge for ya...see how many you can find in all the poetry forums, including the archives. After that exhaustive search, let me know if I still have a lack of posting. Alicat the cackling Persnikitty As I sit here dimly thinking Watching modem lights a-blinking Churning out poetic hash. Lord, in all Your piety, Help me keep my sanity: Please don't let the modem crash! --Alicat |

Okay.....I made a mess of the Pub and open 6 ! Got them all in open 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - and have 9 to go in open 1. I found 2 in Spiritual, 1 in Prose, 9 in Dark ( did only 2 there) and 1 in the Workshop. I didn't bring them all back up in the smaller Forums, as I do not think that's the right thing to do All and all around 90 poems BUT....that's old ! How about 90 new ones this year ? LOL OK, I dare you to contact me on ICQ.....do I have a challenge for you Sir !!! Happy now I declare today, March 5 2000, Universal Alicat Day !..............Purrrrrrr my friends. He wrote some purrrrrrrrfect poetry ! Munda |

Munda, This poem really tugged at my heartstrings as I too lost a love to death. How much I was able to relate to it and your meaning of death. Beautiful. Sheila |
