He was a man who would have made Kerouac Weep with pride. He was given to quoting Bob Dylan Thomas, And was always tangled up in blue and red But never white--we was too saintly for that. He spouted decades-old Counterculture jargon, Always rallying people to his undefined cause. He talked with intellectuals About things he didn't understand, And spoke of reality as though It were a place he'd like to visit. He died with more imagined sins on him Than Christ bore; A spotless martyr to his cause, The one he didn't know anything about. I think that Jon has brought this quality out in all of us. A beautiful tribute. I myself am still a rebel. Nice work. Alicia A. Renzelman |

Oh, I'm a rebel too. I actually kind of hope someone reads this at my funeral (which is hopefully a long time coming--I still have a lot of living I want to do). "If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing." --Kingsley Amis |
