   As I watch this plant
          Grow
I'm also watching it die.
  What point is there to
          Lie?
Every year we grow and play
   We grow closer to the
    Rest we forever lay.

I'm a dying romantic and when i can no longer write i can no longer live -Jeremiah Johnson-

I had these same thoughts yesterday as I was watching some roses wilting in my vase...oh, but they were so beautiful just a few days ago...so after I threw them away, I just kept thinking how lovely they were and they still bring me delight, even after they are gone! Maybe we can be that way too?!

from the moment we are given life, we begin to die. It all depends on how you want to live that life. live it to the fullest, the best you can. Treat other's as you wish to be treated. yes, death awaits us all, but with a good life, you can look death in the eye, challenge it, win or lose at that point, you can then go on knowing your life was good, and you touched some along the way.

Yes, Jeremiah, a good reminder of the 1000 marbles story...

Beginning and End...pretty interesting poem. We all have a beginning and we all have an end. This is a poem full of symbolism, right?

to remain true to yourself so that you will have a clear conscience when death comes to us all....

Why have you been hiding all this good stuff from me my comrade? Great work. So short, yet so full of meaning.

I guess there's death to make us appricate life more. Nice work.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

true.. so now we know that there is definitely a point to death, because there is a point to life.. and we die as we live.. Godd thoughts, JJ
