A smoky mist will creep slowly in, Reflecting the gray shrouded moon, Vampires will step from the darkness, Dripping ooze from the slimy lagoon. Bats will swoop through the frigid night, And the wind will blow in harsh screams, This is the eve that nightmares, Will replace those sugar pie dreams. Ghosts and goblins and mummies, Will trudge with their eyes aglow, Gnarled limbs of barren trees, Will cast eerie shadows below. Owls who usually hoot softly, This night will loudly screech, And every portal of safety, Will be too far out of reach. All Hallow's Eve is upon us, Those ghouls will soon be here, So make sure to have a light on, And to keep the candy near...... |
