If we frogs could control what's done. In our world, from sun to sun, "Twould be unanimous,"Frogs just wanna have fun!" You see, our Lizard neighbors are an easy mark, To pull pranks on and keep 'em in the dark, And oh what fun all that can spark! And so it happened just the other day, Bob was ribbing them lizards, in a playful way, Saying, even tone-deaf Sam could outsing them any day! Now, Maury and Hank could be talked into anything, Those dumb old lizards really thought they could sing, So Flo and Bob convinces them, a singing war was just the thing. Now a singing contest needed some rules, So the frogs went to Ozzie Owl for some clues, Ozzie drafted a set and some fine print it did include. Now the trick was to get them lizards puffed up and proud, Letting them think Maury could win the crowd, 'Cause Sam would ruin any song he sang out loud! The Lizards thought--now here is a sure thing! Poor Sam's sure to lose--if he tries to sing, So eagerly they signed it, as if they were King! But Frogs aren't as dumb as they may appear to be, They had it all planned out, their Hoppy Victory, Even snuck off to the Pub, for a little trickery! The Pub is full, the big night is here, But Sam can't sing, the poor little dear (Trick#1) He has a "frog in his throat" that's what we hear! Maury and Hank think they're off the hook, But Ozzie the Owl, with his wise old look, Pulled out the contract, and gave it a shook. With his glasses on, Ozzie looked quite astute, He said,"Disabled Sam can pick him a Substitute, It's here in the contract,it you can't refute!" (Trick#2) Now Maury and Hank had a worried look, They had signed too quick, no time they took, When Sam picked Flo, the Lizards wanted to turn and book! It was Kareoke Night, and the crowd was beginning to stare, And being pompous Lizards, they wouldn't back down from a dare, Somehow they'd win, they've got to win, for all the Lizards there! Flo is ready, looking gorgeous, in her green sequinned dress, She begins to sing "Blue Bayou," and knows she'll cause distress,(Trick#3) She doesn't know the song well, and makes of it a mess! She does know the Lizards whole family are from down there, All of them start crying crocodile tears, a sight hard to bear, Maury is sure he can out-sing her now, oh but he better beware! Maury chooses to sing the classic Lizard Love tune, "Your Bulging Eyes Reflect the Moon," A favorite of ALL the Lizards in the room! Confident now of a glorious win, Maury smiled, waiting for the music to begin, But something was perculiar as the music kicked in! Thanks to the Frogs, who had planned their con so smart, (Trick#4) It was played at double speed, and as he tried to start, Maury sounded more like a Chipmunk, than a Loving Lizard Heart. It was so comical, his lizard tongue whipping him so bad, He really tried his best, but he knew that he'd been had, He was so o'ercome by shame, he forgot to be mad! So Bob, Flo and Sam watched as Maury slithered away, His tail tucked between his legs, humiliated in every way, As the crowd roared with laughter, the Frogs drank a toast, Ah, 'tis Victory sweet, they could not help but Boast! 3 Frogs are better than one! (Ü)(Ü)(Ü) |

Hi WEEBEE, Sounds like those ol' lizards have some catching up to do 'round here... What a great job you've done with this one! Pulled every trick out of the bag..... But I'm sure Maury and Hank are sitting somewhere soothing those bruised egos and figuring a way to get even.... Bonnie |
