he was in love with the idea of me he fell headlong and heartfirst into something he had never known he risked his heart and soul on a mere whim of love he gave his life for a whisper spoken softly at dusk and he never ever looked back or even turned his eyes down to the path he trod to watch for the pitfalls of my love he fell headlong and heartfirst into the moor of loving me stuck and foundering like some poor wild pony on the stormy marsh and he never ever tried to set himself free and even then there was not one ounce of compassion left in my heart to extend a hand to help him loose the moor's bondage instead, I let him sink slowly oh so slowly into the dark mud as I stood near the edge fascinated and repelled and unable and even unwilling to lend him my hand and set him free Shall we live to breathe again? Or simply just exsist in this limbo we dare to call life! ~Maya 2/20/00 |

I can see it all so vividly, feel it so deeply. So very sad. Your poem has great imagery and flow. |

very descriptive and emotional...I fell for someone the same way...i could relate to this..very well written and expressed She says baby, It's 3am I must be lonely, When she says baby, Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes, Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it. Matchbox20 I love you baby... always.* |
