Whisper softly, oh gentle Maid of Spring, speak quietly to earth softened by thy hand, send forth thy faithful messengers of life, to herald peaceful stirrings in the land, Stirring, swirling, searching beneath thy crust, for silent pathways, yearning to be free, thy rainbow colors bursting into light, timeless, ageless, ever constant, infinity, ever was it so as now, thy endless song, thy breezes sooth my spirit tenderly, wet dewdrops of thy breath my lashes kiss, scented rays of warmth encoumpass me, what splendor anywhere compares to thee, thy matchless glory incomparable tis true, one wish please grant before the last, forevermore to be but one with you. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

I really like this. The mythical feel and characterization of spring I appreciated. Good diction as well. Thanks for sharing this. |

Pegasus; Exquisite poem, exquisite writing. This poem would be a wonderful entry for the next book. You are a truly gifted poet!!!1 Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |
