disappointment tastes like salt not the slight sprinkle you put on your peas but the cascade that pours when someone before you secretly loosened the cap say you were blind, and didn't know there was a mountain of salt where your peas used to be you take your spoon, and shovel a large mound into your mouth your cheeks shrink, your throat tightens and you fight the overwhelming urge to scream at the sick, sour sensation disappointment |
