Weep softly in the night for love past dreary time now the creature bears once brilliant smile of purest caste abruptly fixed to longing stare Days once filled with wonderous rhyme of precious moments shared by two cobwebbed now with dusty grime splintered scenes of pastel blue Only sadness now and endless grief whitered limbs brush musty air as silent tides ebb to the deep mask soundless wails for one not there Sences ache for one whose charm was offered freely, without haste to one whose thurst with unslaked calm determined not a drop to waste The need remains, a mindless shrew pitifully, in scattered disarray searching for it knows not what only now compelled to sadly say I beg return from surreal clutch guide me tenderly to thy nest life is nothing without the touch of weary brow to gentle breast the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

This is so sad but beautifully expressed! Talking about "crying" I'm reminded of the saying "Laugh and the world laughs with you -cry and you cry alone" but I have been fortunate in life to sometimes find someone to cry with me, as I have done with others, and the wonder of that experience dims the pain of the original heartache. |
