SOMETHING HURTS I took it out today, that thing we call a heart. Could it be a bullfrog croaking for a mate? But no, only blood of life, pumping in and out, left, right, up and down, coming back again. I pushed and pulled, prodded, stroked, sunk my fingers in, bounced it on the floor ten times, closed it in the door. No pains or muscle aches, no tendons sensitive, no lumps or bumps of any size, no holes to stitch and bind. Not my heart at all that hurts so deep inside, visions, stories, dreams, living in my mind? Perhaps it is my soul that twists in agony needing that special place lovers call a home. Full of strength, courage, I shop until I drop searching in the rubble, not coming to a stop. Dismayed in all my travels, stores remain sold out, I visit all the sidewalk sales looking for your love. A little bit of happiness, a sense that I belong, I’ll take the joy of laughter, the off-key shower song. Tears of pain I’ll store with grace protected in true love If only I could find your face and know that we are one. |

Sad piece yet to see when one hurts so tragically. I hope it all works out for you. Best of luck and wishes too. Great writing. Kevin "Anything is possible with patience, time is the tool use it to reach your goals." |

Alicia, Thank you so much for your words of "hope". Much appreciated. Lynne, I'll never say no to a hug! Thanks. This is the only way my soul speaks and it's nice to have a place where she is heard. Kevin, Thanks a lot for your wishes and for taking the time to reply. I wish you all a good weekend. Helen |

Honey; I love the way you wrote this, no fear, love will come, in God's perfect timing. ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |
