Dying Planet She is dancing still, again peeking from this brave, new world this soylent green, this blade runner... hell she dances in our meadow. Sure, you all have heard the stories a million times. How once one could dance outdoors without contamination, without canned air. How Mother Earth welcomed, nurtured songs about antelope and birds at play. Way back before the water burned before we all managed to kill, dear Mother. Why, I remember as a wee child fishing with my father, drinking from the stream. Cupped hand did not hold death, back then only sweetest, freshest refreshment. Back before the drug, hood, or skin wars a time when not everyone hunted each other. Back when there were real trees and flowers, fresh air and water, clear skies and sunshine. She is dancing again, ever I am afraid in my memory of a long, long ago time. We all should have believed, taken action before losing most all we held so dear. The tears always come after seeing her dance tears for the children that are and will be born. Why didn’t we all listen (for once) to the prophets before we destroyed all that was natural and pure? bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |

Wise words indeed... I've thought the same very often - you've done a great job in finding the words I never could... |
