Riverboat Riverboat so gently go Way down the lovely Ohio Into the Mississippi stream And float me down a childhhod dream Let currents take me where they may To places of another day Just keep on drifting one more mile And let me sit and dream a while I think I’ll find a rainbow’s end Around another river’s bend Please take me there and let me look For a boy I once knew in a book So smoothly does the riverboat Down the Mississippi float And lets me sail away among Dreams I knew when I was young It was just a story I once read But it was real inside my head And as for Huckleberry Finn Am I allowed to dream like him? loved this nostalgic look at the great Mississippi of Mark Twain... the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

This is an enchanting piece! I can almost close my eyes and imagine myself there. I really enjoyed this.........beth You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |
