Thanks to everyone for your response to the second part. OK (deep breath), here comes the big ending! I want to point out that he is currently doing much better, and I really hope he can keep it up. Congratulations on this week's achievements! I know you're reading this. Here's the whole poem now: The clash is behind him. But will it remind him Of the struggle he still has to face? He's weathered the storm, But he has to PERFORM In order to maintain his place. But it slips from his mind, The work he's assigned, Other things tend to get in the way, And he sees, once again, It's a quarter past ten And he's wasted another whole day. There's another, who shares All his joys and his cares, Though it's been just a couple of weeks, Every day, on the phone, He's no longer alone And I smile at how sweetly he speaks. But he'll LOSE this big chance! Not one more lunch or dance! Unless...he can turn things around. I just hope she'll inspire His ambition to catch fire, His performance to get off the ground. With a “Great” general’s name, He and I think the same, And we share much the same hopes and fears. He’s an artist at heart; His initials are ART! And his music can move you to tears. When his ranking is strong, He's up where he belongs, Then I'll feel that my task has been done; Though a Dragon you see, He’s a young man to me. Little Spyro, your friend..... Is my son. |

Thanks very much to all of you for your kind comments. "Sam" has not seen this yet (as of 3:30 PM Saturday), and he apparently never knew who Exile was until now. (Luke....I AM your father!) I can only hope he is not too upset by this, and will continue to share his amazing talent with all of you, his friends. I just wanted to be a part of this, also, and hope he understands. Also, hope none of you minded the verses that will mean nothing to anyone except him. Warmest regards to you all, Jim a.k.a. The Exile |

Ah, but you are wrong there, Exile. They do mean something to me. They speak to me of a great love between a father and a son! Having been enthralled by your son's loving heart, I'm sure now where he gets it from. A chip off the old block! You have done well, Exile. You have a son to be extremely proud of! I wouldn't mind if he were mine! He also has a Dad to be extremely proud of! I'm glad you are both here!! You are both very talented individuals! Denise |

Having known Sam such a short time, I've come to admire his generous spirit and God given talent. This poem brought tears to my eyes! A wonderful loving tribute to such a sweet young man. You should be proud of him.. and he should be proud of you. This is an amazing poem about your amazing relationship! Welcome.... |
