How many dreams that I have drempt - at least as many rainbows as I have seen. Each being so full of color - yet the end is not always in sight. There are times we are at peace with ourselves, and there are times we are at war with the world! The grassy meadows, the spring rain and blue skies- These are filled with peace and harmony. Only to be awakened into the real world. The hunting, the chasing and falls of death - these bring terror and confusion - Gratefully awakening into the real world! Does this mean reality lies somewhere in between? |

oh2beme, This seemed to suggest to me that a balance in life is to be found between realism and idealism (not compromise). If we are lost in our poetics, our beauties, our dreams, our intense and profound reflections so much as to quit caring for real life where things sometimes hurt and where there are get sweaty and dirty tasks to do in the now world, then our glorious moments are as frail as cobwebs and fleeting as phantom dreams. But at the same time if we get lost in practicallity and the mundanity of daily toil without embracing and seeking the higher things we are equally futile! This middle way is the gift of God. Thankyou for sharing this poem! |

Thank you both for your response. Reality is somewhere in between and what a wonderful place to be. It is truly a gift from God. Thanks again and best wishes to you both. |
