Feelings are a curious thing, Can make you sad or make you sing, Oft like a roller coaster ride, Can be on the top or wish you'd died! Feelings spring from deep inside, Make us proud or want to hide, Anger boils and then comes peace, Fears can bind but joys release. Jealousy has it's own dark mood, Love promotes that which is good, Feelings can both soothe and sting, Feelings are a curious thing! |

Wow dennis..This is Awesome!!! And so true...I am just learning now that pain is just another feeling like happiness and I stopped running from it...feelings come (good or bad) and feelings go. I offer the prayer "This to shall pass" when I am feeling uncomfortable...You are such a great writer, Dennis...and you are so in touch with human emotions..I can only pray that I will be able to have that ability some day...Love, Beth (sorry for the long response!) You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |

Dear Bro; A wise and well written poem on the essence of human emotion. The choice to let those emotions run our lives, is ours to make. They are never really under control unless control is given to God. I love this poem! Love, Sis Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Dennis~ 'Feelings are a curious thing.' You said a mouthfull there ! It's how we meet them and handle them that determine who and what we are. Good writing. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Dennis- I must echo Marge's reply. This one definitely speaks volumes. Very much 'a curious thing' indeed, but they only have as much power over us as we allow them to have. Feelings are definitely what you make of them. Great job! -vicky "I have read your words, and within them I have found your heart. -vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (edited 08-01-2000).] |

Hi Dennis! I see your poetry's just as potent and excellent as since last I read it! After being in the hospital for a while, it's sure refreshing to see that someone put down on paper (well, relatively) how I felt during the past few days. Great job as usual!!! Little Spyro T. Dragon |
