There is a dragonfly
hovering,
over the dancing waters
of the fountain.
The sun sparkles
on her
gossamer wings,
making them shimmer
like fairy dust.

A minute ago,
I saw a dragonfly,
suddenly,
I'm transported
into a netherworld,
where fairies are real,
and dragonflies
aren't bugs at all,
but fairyflies,
awakening my heart
to the mystical
and Divine.

Come dance upon
the waters here,
come dance and make
a wish.
I'll sprinkle you
with fairy dust,
and give you
wings to fly!

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
