(NOTE: this is an ongoing tale started in "A Knights Quandary, then in "Mischief in Camelot" and is now continued here. W.K.) As I travel this starless night, I carry Esmeralda in mine arms, She's not stirred form her dark enchantment, All is Quiet, no alarms! We are led by the Fayire Folk, To a place called Larks Keep, Suggested by Gwynedd, for safe haven, To elude the evil persuers leap! I now have time to consider, Events both present and past, This evil that stalks unrelenting, I pray it can not last. Sir Blackthorne, tarnished Knight, T'was stripped of his titled fame, He'd kidnapped dear Esmeralda, For he was sure I was to blame. For her I must gain safe haven, To keep her safe till revived, She's suffered enough calamity, 'Tis a wonder how she's survived. I must face evil Blackthorne, Bring this danger to an end, Tho great evil may surround me, It's power I Must recind! I know in mine heart, Though this evil doth assail, That Good will be victorious, And evil Can't prevail! Ah, here we are, Finally, Larks Keep, A strange, yet magical castle, With a mote both wide and deep. |

Now that my Beloved safe, There's a task I must do, A message from the daughter of Endor, Might provide us a clue. I leave this charmed castle, Seek this reader of Divination, Perhaps the vision utter'd, Wilt provide me revelation. I Must seek the truth, Where e'er it be found, For truth it doth free, What evil hast bound. Away might steed, Take me swiftly to the door, Of the fortune telling Lady, The daughter of Endor. ********************************************* (The encounter with the daughter of Endor may be read in "A Knights Revelation" found here in the Pub. W.K.) |

Wherever thee may go, good Knight, I shall keep thee in my sight So as to be of helpful aid Should foul and evil deeds be played. Thou dost still retain the charms That I had cast upon, They should still now keep from harms And evils from here on. Should you call me, pure and plain, You I'll keep from being slain. |

I've confronted my past, Of my origins been told, Wasn't ready for that blast, My spine tingles with cold. All along thought I, Twas an only child, Elderly parents belied, Knowingly they smiled. My heritage detailed, By my true Mother birthed, My foundations assailed, Does that change my true worth? Concieved in a sin, From a brutal attack, My Mother sufferd, then, Provided for my lack. But not alone, Been told of the other, Bone of my bone, Tis my evil twin brother. I've lived my life, For evil to scorn, Now confronted with strife, From my brother, Blackthorne. |

White Knight, dost thou believe, Thy could fool, and decieve, With thy tales, origins of me. My life is such,an open past. Raised in shame,On ruthless path. I overcame my,homeless strife. and thus a knight,I proved in life. Thy should see with open eyes, Thy lady's fate with me thus lye. If thou wish to set her free, Then take this task I set for thee. 'Neath Old Oak Glenn meet with me. The path we take thou shall see. Memories will call of the day, Of the Silverglade village raid. Thy horse did stumble, Thou lost thy blade. Thy life was saved that fateful day. By a knight I shall not name. How many a time a knight did fall To many a time a widow we'd call. I'd lay the armour, at their feet, The solemn words thou would speak. 'Tis not much I wish to see, A simple test just for thee. Blackthorne, I do believe the vision told, By the daugher of Endor read, I know of thy evil quest for gold, For beauty and truth I know thy dread. You have appeared in times now past, To serve the Kingdom, to valiant ride, Yet you knew this illusion could not last, The truth be known, cause of thy pride. You've lost your rank, a Knight no more, Been stripped of this honorable station, Your evil seed has borne fruit thats sore, THAT lead to your elimination. Though we be brothers by common birth, You belong not to Mother so pure, Thou art the seed of thy fathers worth, The devil himself would concur. As twins we both shared our Mothers' womb, But I am my Mothers true child, To balance the evil, for me was made room, For Good, the heavens on me smiled. What evil holdest thou over my Beloved, Shall be severed when we shall meet, At Old Oak Glenn, I won't be shoved, But defend to the death, my one Sweet. |

White Knight thy claim pure of heart, Love dost tarnish thy sword. 'Tis sad to see the loss, Brethren fell in battles at great cost. Brothers and friends lost their sword tarnished by love this foul. Thus thyne eyes need to see, What thy love hast done to thee. Thy sword once, very quick. May have lost it's will to split The skin of the fierciest foe, Whilst a battle rages', to and fro. Should thy vision be true All the more reason, I set this task to thee 'tis a season of raids it seems. Ride with me knight so bold to once was the village 'Aragold' Feast thyne eyes on whats happened there. The peaceful village once so fair. One more ride after thyne sees, the village sacked for ruthless needs. Then the test I set to thee, Dost thy sword fail or succeed thou hast yet to prove to me. Thy lady love rests eternally, and thus will stay 'til thy prove Thy sword and will still fight true. |

I am afraid my dragons' tools Are useless in these bloodline duels! Though I fear you'll meet your end, White Knight, you I can't defend. But I shall watch all these events, And see which one of you repents Of the deeds that you have done In dark of night or light of sun. I shall fly to Aragold And see of what Blackthorne has told. But I can never interfere With the fight to happen here. I wish you luck, O noble Knight, I will keep you in my sight. May you slay all that is cruel, And take the better of this duel. |

Sir Knight, a call to arms Thou must surely make Yea, Verily I shall gather my fold And meet thee anon, at the weapons take An it please thee my Lord We shall chastise this rogue Inflicting serious bodily harm Lest the miscreant hide in a hole Nay, will we, nil we Stand like dotards, idly by While we have blood in our veins "Death to our Enemies" shall be our warcry Perchance, my Lord Thou be'est the bravest Knight on Life But e'en such a one Can'st be slain by the arrow in flight Seek ye therefore those As whom thou wilt trust For Blackthorne hath treacherous intent As ye know he must |

I lay in wait here, waters deep This big castle I will keep From the reach of evil's arms I can repel them with my charms! No one cross the drawbridge gate Unless he is a friend and mate Or come this way with Good intent, Or by a noble sir was sent. As I sit and guard this moat, I seem to lack the antidote For a hunger deep, deep down It's this that gives me a frown. But I have only one request, It comes from deep within my chest: A yearning, longing, searching mood-- Could you please give me some food? |

~Blackthorne~ Thou dost spice thy words with evil garnish, MY conscience is at noble peace, Love doth not mine sword tarnish, But gives purpose to its' full release. Pure Love truely enriches, The quality of ones' life, But thy evil pursuit of riches, Leadeth thee to nothing but strife! Love emboldens the swords swift hand, Knowing that mine mission is just, Your evil pursuits that may seem grand, Shall be impaled along with thy lusts. Honor doth not ride along side, Thy evil corruption so ill, Thy raids an affront to all who reside, Profain not this peaceful ville! I need not thy test, Myself to prove, At thy behest, My sword should move? I thus will sever, Our earthly ties, May the steel deliver, The one that dies! ---------------------------- ~Spyro Dragon~ Brave Spyro, I salute Thee, I must stand alone this test, I WILL stand and not flee, For my sword knows my best. ----------------------------- ~Majestic~ Majestic, Valiant ArchDuke, Stand down for this while, Must not Blackthorne spook, Lone I face this menace vile. Perhaps, be thou steady, If this evil foe doth run, Thy men shall stand aready, Thence you'll have thy fun! --------------------------- On all thats Holy, I now vow, To purge this Curse from our land, Elimination shall start now, My sword is ready in mine hand! |

White Knight I feel thou the fool, If thou does not see what thus drives me The raids been done not caused by my sword. Greed dost not drive my goals Good will always prevail, Long as love does not cloud the judgement of warrions bold Words of wisdom I've been told The raids caused by barbarians south move on another town now. Ride with me and we shall see If thy love sets thee free. We shall fight as days of old Side by side for one goal This is the test for thee I must see thy swords still free Once thy test thou'st completes Thy lady love to you'll be freed Question not my motives here For they are very clear. I've spoke of all those before Whom 'cause of love were lost in war. Why should thou think of me Consumed by petty greed Those whom now follow me, are strong and fight well, thou wilst see No love hinders the warriors there They fight to defend the live's there. The barbians tools new to us. The use axes, swords and show No organization to there attacks A ruthless foe awaits us I'll watch thy back Dost thou now finally see, The motives driven by me, When thy lady did escape My warriors fought that very day. Two score of my warriors fell, Trying to defend 'Arbagold' Where where thy noble knights, Busy loving through the night? Be not the coward, Thy seems to be Nor the fool, I don't believe. |

~Blackthorne~ Perhaps I've reduced you to a caricature, You're about much More than greed, You've chosen your own evil character, Tis evident by thyne own deeds. The only Barbarian I intend to grace, Is that of mine own evil brother, If thou doth dare to show thy face, And not seek evils dark cover. Meet me at Old Oak Glen, At the stroke of noon today, I've heard enough of thy babbling din, Come put thy sword in play! [This message has been edited by White Knight (edited 08-05-2000).] |
