They say I'm young They say I don't know That I haven't experienced enough... For such profound feelings to flow No matter whay "they" might think And tell me every day, I'll keep on living, experiencing, For that's the only way to grow, Until I'm very old. Then, They can't say I'm young Or that I don't know Because by then, I guess I'll have shown them That it just takes time To finally just be able to know. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still a-flying, And this same flower that smiles today To-morrow will be dying. -Robert Herrick |

Seems to me you "know" more than most your age. Wonderful poem Joy. |

There're many times I wish I knew, Or wish I even had a clue; But today I guess that I found out There's a lot of things I know about! Great poem, Joy!!!! Little Spyro T. Dragon |

perfect poem Joy...sounds like words from the very wise to me...words of wisdom take care, janet marie ...found your heart-then lost your lover...licked your wounds then run for cover... take your time...there will be another... and dont make the same mistake twice... unless you can pay the price... Great poem, Joy. I've often thought about this. With age comes wisdom, but you seem to have achieved this early. ~Gene |
