Two distant ships sailing through a sea of dispair both flying the flag of heartache and sailing without a star to guide them unaware of the paths they take unaware of where their journey will end only that they are bound for happiness destined to find love once lost then one day, one captain gives up forgetting the quest to find love letting his ship drift aimlessly letting fate take over his quest the other captain unsure of her quest still hoping that one day she will find love sails hard into that good night praying that she will find her true love then, as if some miracle then, as if by some miracle, these two ships met not knowing how it could have been only that they have found each other and that their meeting was not of chance, but of destiny their captains find something special a spark that ignites something deep inside a flame of a love once thought extinguished a burning desire, this fiery passion posesses them on the deck of her ship, they stand there holding each other close, praying it will never end they plot their course, letting their love guide them sailing away, no longer lonely, but in love To find love is to know true happiness... to hold the one you love is to hold everything... to look into their eyes is to see a glimpse of heaven... b |

LS a wonderful poem, what ocean is this that the captain sails in because I am ready to change course. Really enjoyed the poem. why must we pray screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith |

LonelyShadow~ This is a piece of brilliant portrayal here. 'Two distant ships sailing through a sea of dispair both flying the flag of heartache and sailing without a star to guide them' The very idea of setting the soul's ship adrift ... works so well. I enjoyed this very, very much. Hope to read more of your work. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
