Trade Me In

Trade me in for two twenties
he threatens all the time,
I tell him be my guest
if you can handle the pressure.
He tells his buddies at work
about this silliest of plans,
they think he's gone crazy
for thinking such thoughts.

Looking on it I should see it
as a wonderful compliment,
needing two to replace me
means I'm simply dynamic!
Hey, I can dream also,
and why not be extremely special
in a world where thought waves
seem to overpower reality.

In truth it will always be me
who shines within his integrity,
together we complete a puzzle
of pieces meant to be made.
Minds may slip and slide at times,
seeing something more,
but knowing the love
within two souls connected grants peace.
