Dancing up above so luminous and bright My security blanket of stars is there each night They are the one thing that stays constant and true When life's always changing and I'm unsure what to do Sometimes obstructed by the clouds, the stars play hide and seek And just when I think all is lost; they come out for a little peek Pulsating with laughter, because I was so wrong They tell me not to give up; they urge me to be strong When the starlight seems so pale and faded And life's dreams have all become faded Often I wonder why I continue to try Stars have their moment and then they die When the stars all seem to have lost their luster And even one smiles, is more than I can muster Just when I give up- it can't be done My eyes settle on a brighter one So once again tonight, I'll slip away outside And watch the night sky twinkle with all the tears I've cried Little incandescent balls of all my fiery hope Reassuring me once again. I'll find a way to cope Suddenly it's clear to me, knowing all of this, why I still try Stars have their moment and then they die But, in that instant when they shine so bright They can mend a soul, and give it the will to fight That blinding brightness can erase all the tears that have been cried And the stars that have disappeared - merely dreams that have died Making way for a new dream- a brighter shining starlit sky And that star might be yours, if you're not afraid to try Destiny is written in the star-studded sky each night Some of the stars are faded, while some shine oh so bright Whatever life throws me I'm sure I can make it With the help of my stars… my security blanket |

Wonderfully written poem og hope and courage! Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

A celestial masterpiece. Wonderful poem Starrgazer, thanks for taking part in the challenge. "Out of sorrow entire worlds have been built Out of longing great wonders have been willed They're only little tears, darling, let them spill" Nick |
