Why cry dear friend, when you sense losing, When it proves beyond your choosing. Nothing really stays the same, It once was not here--but then it came! And since it is-who says 'twill be, For time's too small for eternity. And this holds true for all things in life, E'en stars have rheir moments and then they die! So for us, at least in this sphere, We will not always be here. Life is itself, a state of transition, not a ne'er ending composition. So best it is to embrace changes While your life rearranges. Savor each moment and each scene, For life's is not static, nor is it a dream But change is real as time marches on, To our life's end--our setting of sun. Better is the end than the beginning thereof- If it's by faith that we live mixed with love. Be not upset by the changes you spy, For "Stars have their moments and then they die. We too have our moments then die in the flesh, But God can gives us yet better-so we will be blest! |

So true, so true! Your words tell me to think....for me it is hard to live for TODAY--I find myself thinking constantly that when I get thus and so done I can start "living." I haven't sat on my patio all summer! Good grief! |

David, a wonderful poem. Thanks for taking part in the challenge. Well done. "I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else" faster-Manic street preachers. |

David; This is so deeply profound and filled with the ultimate wisdom. If it's by faith that we live, mixed with love"...This line is so glorious! Your usual magnificent poetry, my friend. Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |
