I hold you gently in my arms,
remembering your face,
and how you came from that Place.
Why did you have to go?

Your eyes were ever bright,
as tears flow from my eyes.
As if from your heart;
was a heavenly glow.
Oh why did you have to go?

As I sit in the service*,
and still I pray.
I am ever thankful to Him,
for in my heart you'll stay.
But its so painful,
oh why oh why did you have to go?

I remember your laughter,
and your smile.
As we walked together,
all the while.
I never knew what a gift had I,
Did you have to go, oh why!?!

I sit here contemplating on the knife,
the thoughts of taking away,
my own life.
But I can't, I can't.
Oh take my life I shant,
you wouldn't want it so.
Our love is alive! that
I can still feel,
It'll never leave.
But why did you have to go?

I wrote this from my heart. I went through this period of grief a while back. And this is how I felt summed in words.
