Hellooooo, a poem from when I was 11 years old.. The Lonely Shore Tiny shells lie forlornly scattered, On warm, wet sand. Water lapping gently, Against the shore, Leaves fluffy white froth, Stranded, As it moves back down the beach. Smooth wooden bodies, With exciting tales, Of rough journeys, on raging waters, Now lie silent, On a bed of sand. Strings of rubbery beads, Strung on leather seaweed straps, Limp, baking in hot sun. And above, Gulls’ cries pierce the serenity, Circling and reeling, In blue paradise. Lynne "He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened." Lao-tsu |

Yu Lan, Was trhis a poem written when you were twelve, or about an experience you had when you were twelve--I was not clear on that--either way, this is a a poem may lovely by the descriptiveness of the words you use to paint this lovely tropical or coastal scene. Thanks for taking us to your paradise. David |

A melancholic piece, beautifully portrayed! Your painting of the picture inspires me. Thanks for the treat *S* |

Wow! You've been digging to find this, Skyshine! I haven't been to PIP for so long... I'm studying full time this year, and working the other part, lol.. Actually, I think I'll post my latest poem though. I've been away FAR too long. Thanks so much!! Bless your cotten sockies, you poetic maniacs. ^_^ |

I am glad she did dig, as I had not seen this treasure. Loved this as I live by the sea: Smooth wooden bodies, With exciting tales, Of rough journeys, on raging waters, Now lie silent, On a bed of sand. Good to read you and yes, do post one of your latest as it will be so good to read you again. |
