Las Vegas Land of sandy desert heat Dusty roads and mountain peak Browns and grays and sun-scorched eyes Til neon blazes nighttime skies The landscape brown and gray and stark Becomes a huge amusement park Where money flows like rapid streams Of non-existing water dreams Please take me back to land of green First, lead me to a slot machine Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, This is excellent, I love it and the ending made a big grin appear on my face. |

Funny!! I've landed here also and it's like an alien world in the middle of the desert! Cute poem... |

LOL I loved this description. Being from the south east of TX and living most my life in one desert or another you made me a tad homesick with a cute ending. Great Job. Kevin "Anything is possible with patience, time is the tool use it to reach your goals." |

Liz your humor is intact--but is your pocketbook? Good one--David "GOD GIVES- but man must open his hand." (German Proverb) |
