A million curly haired girls in yellow peasant dresses. Sandals on their feet to match their shiny tresses. How many of you girls are there??¿ Who look the same, with curling hair. You say the same things, degrading socialite stings. Watch the others going by,it shows. You're checking out the labels on their clothes. Giggle at that boy because his sneakers are wrong. Purchased at a dime store, laces are to long. Laugh & point at the girl with bad hair. notice her feet are bruised & bare. But you don't care do you??¿ And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

Arghh! The Swamp Thing strikes again! lol, I know it's not a good analogy but still, it does have the word "Swamp" in it! Great job as usual, 'Swamp'! Yeah, it does make me think... ...ow! Hey, that hurts! I think I'd better stop doing it, or I'll join the cast of "ER" as a permanent patient... Little Spyro T. Dragon |

Cummings quote here, I think I should put it back on my signature. "To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." A wondeful poem on peer pressure. excellent. A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry |

Who does care? This is a very good poem...very thought-provoking. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

Thank you liz and brian =] i was in a resturant the other day watching a group of "preps" by the door, and all you had to do was watch their eyes and it DID show, they WERE checking out the labels and smirking when someone 'uncool' went by. it made me sick to watch that. Thanks again swamp And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

Unfortunately a far too true poem. Sad really how people seem to care for the wrong things and miss out on the beauty of life. Enjoyed this much. Well done ! |

Thanks much kelieth and Munda!! it really is sad what's happening to our young people....and it's really sad what has already happened to the older people too. i guess it's one big never ending circle that keeps doubling back on it's self...
