Lack of Courage < !signature-->The light in the corner, Of my mind. Still comes on, From time to time. It tells me go, But I still wait, Before I know, It's to late. To aproach the beauty, Across the bar. Once again, I lost a charm. Why do I, Seem to wait? Far to long, Way to late. I've got nothing, Else to lose, Yet why do I, Want to choose? To maybe tilt, The hand of fate. To bring the love, For which I wait. I know each time, I let one go. I'm the fool, Left all alone. I never have, The courage to face. A lady's eyes, To ask a date. I've never backed down, From a fight. A lady's heart, Scares me alot. I hope someday, I'll overcome. My foolish pride, And will not run. From the ladys, To ask a date. I know now, I cannot wait. For my life, I've been alone. I should have seen, It should've shown. That life's to short, To hesitate. Where's my courage To ask a date? Hi Kevin. I liked this poem I think sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the horns, so to speak. |

Kevin, Great poem you penned here, courage is a hard thing to come by at times. We can think a whole scene up in our minds, but when it comes to playing it out the wall of security blocks any interception. This poem just made me think of all my insecurities and the walls I build to protect myself from failing. |

I can certainly relate. I never seem to be able to get beyond the platonic stage, LOL well a great poem. much enjoyed. ------------------------ "Take nothing but pictures. Kelvin, have read a few poems from you and never cease to be amazed at the ability you seem to have in putting down your feelings on paper...wow! your sentiments are beautifully expressed here...esp love this stanza To maybe tilt The hand of fate To bring the love For which i wait like the ending too...thought you have summed up the entire situation with almost an acute honesty here heres hoping you find the courage within you and that i will read poems about your dates in the near future |
