In summer, relatives appear like locust, Your swimming pool becomes thier focus, You try with your might, To be so polite, Wish they'd disappear, Hocus-Pocus! First to arrive is Uncle Bob, With eight children and no apparent job, They smile with delight, As they sate thier appetite, I think I am going to sob! And then there is Aunt Lulu, Being stylish while entering the pool, She jumped with a hop, And away flew her top, I can tell you, that wasn't too cool! A visit from third cousin Greer, Perspiring ninety percent beer, The pools not the same, And I know whose to blame, The waters now yellow, not clear! Next summer when the family arrives, Ready for thier swims and dives, I'll hand each a hoe, To work the garden I'll grow, Where the pool was, the vegetables will thrive! |

Dennis, Need to make a correct asumption, I do not have a pool, (sigh!) as my original post may have implied, but still can relate to the "folks" all coming...to eat & eat & eat, then they are gone til next year. marcy [This message has been edited by Alle'cram (edited 06-07-2000).] |

Cute, and shows your frustration with some members of family. ^_^ I'd be bugged too! Nice job, quite a sweet, jovial read. Kill me later - I deserve it - but for now just smile. |
