(Note: I was there and Dennis was fantastic!) Among the talented and ambitious My fortunes had brought me, To witness array of emotions Well shared through their poetry. An occasion to show off skills Ignited by high energy, To laugh and cry and be amused Taken in by their poetry. Over midway through the program A newcommer we do see, Stands up front and center To display his brilliancy. Emboldened by his room of peers His moments fear, we do not see, He launches into his own special wares With finesse, waxes flawlessly! Before the event is all o'er Tho' extended by many a read, We're all warmed by the richness of feelings "Twas good to be here," all agreed! I knew he could do it and do it well, I bet one of his greatest joys this day was having you there in the audience.  Great poem here describing the affair, you both are so talented. |
