Cold tendrils embraced my every waking They left icicle imprints on an already overindulged slightly taxed piece of me. My soul cried repetitiously wanton wishes Today I wiped away saddened heartbreaking melancholy. I shall not ponder the unattainable answers that toss me into soul-searching dialogue (There are no simple ones) I shall plunge forward into warmth and love No self destruction mechanisms - allowed. I will close my eyes taste your lips feel the tautness of skin. Inhale your scent Breathe in your breath. Lie half awake in it’s intoxication. Then I shall realize, I was never awake. The need was you - Is YOU. Until you are here lying next to me I shall hold this precious memory. This was a moment captured in my dreams YOU already know the “need.” Kdw, Copyright 2000 |

I shall not ponder the unatainable answers". And yet you do, as do I. Would that we could find them. Yes, I relate to that poem most personally. Very beautifully presented. |
